There are so many affiliate programs out there today, it seems almost
impossible to stand out among the crowd. In order to make real money
online, you MUST stand out. There are different ways to achieve
the goal of creating your "niche" online. Your "niche" is your place
in the marketplace and in your customers' minds. It's what makes
your business stand out over other, similar ones. Here are some
ways to do this:
- Offer
better quality
- Offer
faster service
- Offer
a more personal touch
- Offer
a money back guarantee
- Offer
FREE support
- Offer
different colors, styles, etc.
Don't be discouraged if you find competition in your particular
business. This just verifies that it's probably a profitable one!
The key is to stake out your piece of the marketplace. Take a good
look at your competition. Look for unfilled niches or niches you
feel you can fill more effectively. Here's an example:
There is a strong demand for companies that can effectively promote
other businesses online. The first Internet marketing companies
that did this attracted all forms of different industries. Helping
promote such a wide range of clients prevented these marketing companies
from providing the quality of service that their clients needed.
These "niches" were just too large. New opportunities then presented
themselves that allowed the Internet marketing companies to carve
out a niche from the general marketplace. They could now promote
just books and authors or legal and accounting firms. These internet
marketing companies then created these niches and specialized in
promotional systems for these particular companies and areas. Success
soon followed.
If you have an offline business that you would like to promote online,
ask yourself a couple of questions:
- Why
is your business a success now?
- Are
you providing better service, quality, price, expertise, etc.?
- Is
there a niche for this business in cyberspace? If you have an
offline clothing store, choose an online niche to leverage the
power of the Internet. Maybe your website could allow your customers
to see the clothes in different colors, styles, and to make actual
comparisons. This could help to create a unique niche for your
online store. Look at other similar businesses and see what they're
providing, and more importantly, what they are not. Personal service
and a unique selection are difficult to challenge and may help
you "corner" that niche. Sales will follow.
I hope I have given you some good ideas in order to create your
own online "niche." Now go out and go for it!
